The Ramirezi Red (not to be confused with the Red Gold) is a very rare species. The fish is almost impossible to find in aquaristics. This variant turns completely red when it reaches maturity (i.e. not just red head or red shoulder, but completely red). The image shows a young specimen (i.e. not yet fully coloured). This beautiful South American cichlid is excellent to combine with discus fish (in terms of behaviour, temperature, water values and nutrition). It is Swiss bred (by Weissflog), which means that they also go well with our discus fish in terms of bacterial culture. Now available in three different sizes.
